Service Description

At Social Supports SA, we provide Participate in the Community supports to help NDIS participants build confidence, increase independence, and engage in meaningful community activities. This service supports participants to access social, recreational and everyday community opportunities in a safe, structured and person-centred way. Supports may include: Support to attend community activities, events, programs and social groups Community access for shopping, errands and everyday outings Support to build social confidence, communication skills and community safety awareness Gradual skill development to increase independence in public settings Support with planning, preparation and routine building (timing, reminders, follow-through) Encouragement and coaching to explore interests, reduce isolation and build connection Our approach is calm and strengths-based, supporting participants to move toward their goals while increasing belonging and confidence in community life. Session length is flexible and can be tailored to goals and support needs, we recommend a 2-hour minimum booking.
